NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Saturday, August 25, 2018
Take notice that the Annual General Meeting of the Innisfil District Association for Fiscal Year 2017/18 will be held on the 25th day of August 2018 at the ideaLAB/Library (Alcona), 967 Innisfil Beach Road, Innisfil L9S 1V3) at 10:00 a.m. for the following purposes:
1. To approve the Amended and Restated By-Law 4 relating generally to the conduct of the business and affairs of Innisfil District Association (herein called the “Corporation”
2. To elect directors for the ensuing year
3. To receive the financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2018
4. To appoint auditors
Every member entitled to vote (one vote per family membership) at a meeting of members may, by means of a Proxy, appoint a person as his/her nominee to attend and act at the meeting in the manner, to the extent and with the power conferred by the proxy. Attached is a Proxy form that may be used in the event you are unable to attend the meeting. The proxy appoints Deborah McGrath, the President of the Corporation, or in the alternative, Jane Smith, Director, as your nominee. Completed proxies may be mailed to: Innisfil District Association Inc., P.O. Box 7057, Innisfil, ON L9S 1A8, or scanned and emailed to info@innisfilaction.com and must arrive by August 24th, 2018, or filed with the Chair of the meeting prior to its commencement. Only those proxies received and recorded before the beginning of the meeting will be valid.
We are pleased to inform you that our guest speaker is Tanya Clark of The Couchiching Conservancy. Based on its belief that protecting the natural land in our region is vitally important, the Conservancy provides crucial habitat for plants and animals and is becoming a valuable part of a healthy community.
The Proxy and Membership forms were attached to an email sent separately to our members on August 15, 2018. The Amended and Restated By-Law No. 4 was also sent to members in a separate email on the same date.
