$3 million above budget
The planned Roundabout Project at the corner of the 13th line and 25th Sideroad is expected to be $3 million above the budget of $1.8 million based on construction for fall of 2024. In the interim council has approved an alternative traffic signal system at a cost of $1.7 million. Key challenge is the significant effect on infrastructure in the area, culminating in additional budget for the project being approved by council earlier this year to cover “the significant and unanticipated hydro relocation costs needed in order to accommodate the roundabout.”
