The Town of Innisfil is working towards making its planning process more efficient without eliminating vital public participation. The town is considering introducing a Community Planning Permit System tool, such as “Our Shore”, to the entire community. Our Shore has been in effect since 2019 to cover lands on the Lake Simcoe shoreline.
David Riley of SGL planning says: “There’s a streamlined approval process, with shorter approval timelines, which in turn can help get housing to market quicker.”
